I love nature photo walks because I get to take take pictures, get exercise, and have the benefits from being outdoors. Fortunately where I live now there are a lot of trees right in town. This park is beautiful and has a dirt walking path that goes all the way around. For those of you who can’t or don’t travel much- this is proof that you can still find beauty in your own backyard. Would I love to travel all over the country and take pics? Sure..but until I am able to, I am going to take advantage of what I have right now, where I live.

I took these images with my Canon 300 mm lens- very different from my Fuji. Both have pros and cons of course. The benefit with the Zoom lens is how close I can get to the subject when I am further away. Which definitely helps when photographing the local Wildlife. I do have to increase the ISO more than I want in order to get a faster shutter speed. Perhaps at some point I will set up my Tripod with this camera.
