I took photos in Downtown Phoenix this week with my Canon 80D and two lenses- 50mm prime, and 85mm Prime.
I began at CityScape- a Hub of restaurants, bars and clothing stores. I was hopeful there was going to be good light- but I missed it. 😛
I give myself a C+ for this assignment because I didn’t take any image that I set out to initially.
My focus for this shoot was what I call- 3S. -Shadows, silhouettes and signs. I started out with my 50mm until the sun set and then switched to my 85mm prime. I am drawn to any type of nature scenes so having this assignment in mind was supposed to help me take photos of strong lines and light. Didn’t happen.
I did get images with leading lines and a couple with people. I did ask if I could take a photo of the guy playing the guitar. He did not want to show his face; I thought this made for a better portrait anyway. I did take way more photos than what I’m posting here. These are the cream of the crop. Ha!
